House addict!

It really does say something when the best option for TV viewing is the original pilot episode of House. Again. It wasn't repeated long ago, they've run out of other episodes to show so now we're back at the beginning again. But then who's complaining? Cameron was hot in the first place and still is. It's good background noise while I'm printing some other stuff out and 'working' on the laptop.

Back in the semi-real world, I finished my novel synopsis today. Condensing 93,000 words down to a 750 word summary has been quite a challenge. The first three chapters have been edited to the 'I'm happy to send them out' stage. So there's no stopping me now. Well, except for editing the other 9 chapters, agents rejections, publisher rejections if I get an agent to accept me, and then if I'm really lucky, critic rejections! I'm looking forward to those - because at least that means the thing is published and out there!

Can't concentrate now...thinking about anna's contortions...eyes are quite watering!

Isn't Cameron the one who played the man/woman in Ally McBeal about 400 years ago? Then she went out with Fish?...or Jon...I really have no idea having lost most interest once Billy died but there you go. And the John Bon Jovi ones were just puerile.

Anyhoo, just make sure that you are printing while you're watching the telly box then you can still be, as you say, 'working'...

Let us know when you are sending, and we can all send our various good wishes, vibes etc etc etc and then you won't hear the merry plop of a jiffy bag being returned to sender from your letter box!

Morning all

Well done moose for proving that men can multi task! :-)) Too often we are accused on only being able to do one thing at a time so TV and printing is a real achievement for all of mankind. Seriously though good luck with the editing and marketing of your book.

Anna also well done for such excellent typing (with your fingers crossed) I tryued ut ad lok hat hap;pend to me! ;-))

Keep smiling

P.S I bought a teddy the other day for £10. I named it Mohammed, sold it a week later for £20! My question is …….

Have I made a Prophet?

Oh Keith, multi-task? Please! You know perfectly well that 'men' would have to make sure that they were hitting the 'print' button without looking at the tv, otherwise they're going to end up with all sorts of nonsense going on with their pc and probably end up looking at porn, or similar, wondering how it got there. Just admit that it is a major task for you to walk and breathe at the same time and accept defeat gracefully.

I expect you have a better view of defeat now too eh?

Hello Blog Fiends, Long time no type!

I never really got into House, maybe I should have? Well I'm hoping I've finally cracked it, George has slept right thought the night for 6 nights in a row...YAY to the wee man! And now I definitely feel human again. However I have found that Christmas is fast rushing apon me and i am starting to panic, so, any ideas for Christmas presents for various family members always welcome.

Keith - Mr Jo is soo rubbish at mtuli tasking, he can be holding George and watching the telly, but should anything interesting come on he passes the baby back! How didfficult can it be to wathc TV and hold a baby at the same time???

Hope to be back properly now - if the wee man keeps on sleeping!

Moose - Cloth nappies are ace, unfortyunately I seem to be developing a buying nappy addiction, did Mrs Moose suffer this costly affliction??

Jo - did I forget to warn you about the buying addiction? Oops! Seems to be a widespread phenomenon then...you can buy and sell second hand as well...have you discovered that yet?

Lyndyloo - Just to say, I am so sorry to hear that your dad has passed away. I am thinking of you and your mum, such a difficult time for you both. I am so glad it was peaceful for your dad. It is wonderful that he and Roobear will be together, and they will be looking after you, they really will.

Me again.

Lyndyloo - I know it will be very hard for you to have a "happy" birthday, but I hope you do have a good day.

Also, Mary - happy birthday to you! Have a lovely day.

One week until I confront being 51! Last year, it was a bit of a novelty turning 50, but twelve months down the line, I'm not too sure I like getting older!

Lyndyloo. sorry to hear your sad news - thoughts to you and your family. I think it's lovely that your dad and roobear will be together.

It's a year today since we lost Charley dog and although I feel a little sad when confronted with a smiley baby and crazy Sophie spotty it's quite difficult... The blog (this and t'other) was much comfort to me at that time so BIG THANKS.....

Right, off to buy more nappies...Are nappies a good Christmas Present???

Thank you all so much! You have all been so supportive of me in this time of such sadness. We now have to wait until next Thursday for the funeral. I feel somewhat in limbo right now and want to busy myself with rganising stuff with Mum but have to give her her own space and let her do things in her own time. After the funeral we are going to go back to my old pub in town where my Dad was the "lunchtime landlord" and Roobear was the "star of the show". It's one of the places where they were both at their happiest.
