Friday...

My first glass of red is down but I think I'll have to have another to toast Hazel's success! Well done!

Well, today has seen my hedge trimmed, my grass cut, a new washing machine delivered (and already used 3 times), mooselets delivered to and collected from school, a 1 hour gym session (plus a quick steam) and a visit to Pizza Hut to avoid having to cook. Mooselet number 1 asked why McDonalds was so popular. 'Because fat and sugar and salt are addictive'. Wish I hadn't bothered as it then took me half an hour to try and explain! Then we moved on to nicotine!

And on top of all that, I fell asleep at about 8.45pm last night on the sofa and woke at 2am, thus missing House completely. Disaster. Was Cameron looking hot?

Usual Friday night :-( Let's hope the weekend gets better.

well done Auntie Jo's sister..congrats auntie jo.
Superb news Hazel..v.v.excited for you.
Lyndyloo- lucky girl
Moose..productive day again (1 point) ..falling asleep on sofa (minus 1 point)
Children ask the most innocent questions, don't they, but it is our explanations which sometimes next further explanation! Oh dear!
Hve been rather busy at work this week, hence my absence. (will a note from my mum be Ok post dated?)I'm so glad you all are well.
I was in Museum of scotland on Sunday ( hangover city after antics on sat night) but I had a wee smile..I saw a childrens book called "Moose Loose Aboot the Hoose" Daughter asked "why are you giggling mummy?"...bit of a Kharis situation, don't you think, susanS?
Anyway, off to Cambridge tomorrow for the weekend..hope it's sunny!
Have a good one all of you, what ever you have planned (or not) as the case may be.

Moose,

Another busy day for you and no time for writing? Quelle horreur!!!

Up early (for a Saturday anyway!) as have a busy, busy day ahead. Hairdressers this morning (new look or not "the usual please Glenda"), coaching at a Junior netball tournament this afternoon, then back home, via a supermarket to watch Dr Who and Joseph...

All the time, the clock ticks down...OMG - 36 hours to go..

Have a lovely weekend everyone,

Hi guys,

So much to catch up on!!

Jo - how utterly wonderful that Hannah May is here safe and sound! Congratulations to you and yours - I am sure you will be a wonderful Auntie!

Hazel - clever girl! I expected nothing less - I don't know you, but I just KNOW you would be so impressive to meet/interview. Well done, you must be just so delighted.

Anna - hiya, good to hear from you. You have made a big decision and OF COURSE you must have moments of thinking "oh-oh, what have I done". It's not silly at all to think of what you have left behind, but onwards, ever onwards! It's gonna be brill!

DD - very, very naughty but very, very funny!

Moose - hope your Friday night passed fairly quickly. I do think about you every Friday, crazy as that sounds. It's just that most people embrace Friday night, but we all know you struggle with it.

Re: House - good grief, it just gets better and better. You will catch up next week. I know this is saddo country, but do you know that the actors playing Cameron and Chase have just recently become engaged in real life? My husband looked very similar to Chase when he was in his 20's, just gorgeous. Naturally, it goes without saying (but I'll say it) I have NEVER looked like Cameron!

Sammie, so happy for you. K sounds like a "keeper" as a girl in my office would say!

Moose, can I echo what Amanda said yesterday - thank you for giving us the opportunity to talk to each other on your blog. Personally speaking, your blog got me through this past week feeling really good and it's great to be a part of this whole experience.

Thinking of Keith, SusanS, MfR, Mariella, Dr McC and t. Hope you guys are o.k. I know I will have missed someone!

Sorry it's been a long one, but it's Saturday and I'm able to think straight (ish)!

Welcome back Caroline! And Moose it's just another day... I used to srtuggle with Sundays but eventually it just came right.
WEL DONE HAZEL!!!! I said you wouldn't need luck... ata gal!!

I'd like to publicly say a big well done to Leicester Tigers who are now up for the trable after their win today.

I hope you're all having a fab weekend. Mine has so far been brilliant as I've had lunch with my friend who's getting married in August (who I haven't seen in almost 12 months!) to discuss the hen week in 4 weeks... oooh it's gonna be so much fun!

Evening all!!!

Mixed weekend so far....

Discovered this morning that money had been taken from my purse - the 'suspects' are two 'friends' that my daughter brought home last night - £80 is not to be sneezed at. I'm getting the Police involved...

Since moving here, I have had more contact with the Police than ever in my entire life. My daughter had her bag stolen, then my car was vandalised, a drunk driver hit us head on, my daughter has been interviewed as a witness to a serious assault and now this. Am I on the wrong path and is this fates way of showing me?

On a good note, I went to the hairdressers this morning - fab head massage and then went to a netball tournament this afternoon, where two of our junior teams SHONE. I love coaching the kids - I should do this more.

In - oooh, 21.5 hrs, I will be with K. He has phoned me twice today. I think that 'getting on with my life' was the best thing I could do.

'Gardening' tomorrow - OK, nothing spectacular - just cutting the grass and weed control, but hey - it's a big thing for me, I hate it!

My ex has now moved in with his girlfriend, but get this, he STILL (even though he lives the other side of the city) drinks in the pub that was local to our house AND he's made friends with the people that bought our house. Is it just me, or do you think he's having problems moving on?

Teen problems continue. As soon as she doesn't get 'her way', she legs it as soon as my back is turned. Parentline have been helpful - they have suggested I get help from a third party - it's hard not to feel a failure. But this is completely outside of my skillset - I need help.

Sorry for offloading people, but sometimes, well, it's too much to keep inside.

I wish you all a happy, peaceful (if you want it that way!) Bank Holiday,

S xx.

Hi Moose

Managing to grab a short amount of me-time now that we've found a solution to No. 3's propensity to eat like a horse and go red with anger. How are you enjoying the life of leisure? Sounds like you are keeping yourself busy old boy!

cheers

It's very quiet on here this bank holiday, everone must be having a very busy time. I can't wait to hear what's been going on. My bears seem very happy this morning, they're sleeping at my feet. The weather is Warwickshire is a bit damp this morning but it's still quite warm. I'm going to go and visit my friend for lunch and then I'm off to see a rugby match at Welford Road.

Have fun whatever you're up to...

Hi everyone

Sammie - I'm sorry you're having such a bad time at the moment and hopefully your time with K will put a smile on your face .....

Auntie Jo - well done to all concerned!!!! I remember when my brother rang to say that I'd become an auntie for the first time I bawled my eyes out for ages with joy!!! Four nieces/nephews later and the joy didn't dim at all. Hope your sister enjoys Hannah May - what a lovely name xxxx

Hazel Love - well done again on getting your course xxxx

It was wonderful meeting Hazel and the boy and they are both gawjus!!!!

Spent a fairly restrained Saturday with 'im indoors but on Sunday I drove to Surrey (again) for a friend's 60th birthday lunch in Guildford and stayed over. Didn't over-indulge at all during the lunch but back at chum's house we played three games of Scrabble, whilst downing two bottles of red wine and a bowl of lasagne, between the hours of 8pm and 2am ......... boy do I feel tired now!

Hope you're all well and look forward to catching up with everyone again soon.
