Mid-life crisis...

In a strange parallel with CLP (or am I just too easily influenced, including by him?) I went to a BMW motorcycle dealer this morning. I was so tempted to extract my debit card from my wallet on the spot.

I probably ought to discuss the matter with Mrs M first! The only question I should really ask her is: Blue or silver? Since I've already decided which model I want...

It was a bit reminiscent of my experience of buying my car - "I want that one." Debit card out. Done.

For Keith: F800ST. Can you recommend it?
For everyone else: Blue or silver? And should I buy the leather trousers now or should I lose another 10-15kg first?

Moose man! don't you think Blue or Silver Leathers are a touch tacky (slippery when wet!)

Mrs D reckons silver cars and motorbikes look unpainted and therefore cheap! I would go Blue!

Have a good weekend all, too much sport on telly that I'll have to miss 'cos it's my niece and nephews birthdays, all day party to attend and toys to make up! That's what Uncle's are for!

DD out

PS Fairy well to the Busby, but the Fox is back next week!

Hi Moose,

It must have been another sunny day for the subject of motorbikes to come up again! ;-)

Gone off the Harley idea then?

The BMW f800st is a comfortable, light and agile, low revving with good low down torque with impeccable quality. It will certainly have enough power for the UK roads (more than you could use legally anyway).

My local dealer offers very good test rides where you can take the bike for a 40 mile round trip. This may be useful as the riding position is a little sporty. So try before you buy would be my best advice.

The colour is another issue entirly. My bike is silver/grey and I love it. Maybe a way to include Mrs M would be to let her choose the colour?

As for mooselet#2, what a star he is!

Have a good weekend every one!

Hiya, I never manage to comment at the weekend but I just HAD to today to say: Happy Birthday Amanda!!
I hope you are having a lovely day so far - did you enjoy your shampoo last night?!

Moose - oh dear, I'm so not into motorbikes! Mr S really wanted one about 20 years ago (he's 53) but I'm afraid to say I talked him out of it as they really do frighten me. However, I understand - you're a young man, young men love bikes! Go for the blue!

Hope everyone else is o.k. See you tomorrow - Monday lovely Monday!

Ooooh the Moose is after a bike! I'm sure that you'l make your decision on whether or not to take the plunge with Mrs M right by your side. If you decide that you're going to buy then I'm sure Mrs M will be happy to help choose the colour (for me it's blue every time). If you decide that a bike may not be the right thing to purchase then again I'm sure Mrs M will be happy to help think of lots of other things to buy instead... they make shoes and handbags in blue you know... Oh and Leicester City shirts.... talking of Leicester City can I just say well done to the old boys of the LCFC Masters team who won last night!

The Police were again wonderful on Saturday at Twickenham, stage set even more impressive than at the NIA (and an extra 40,000 people there). Have to say though there were some mighty strange fashion victims walking around the stadium.

Happy Monday everyone!

Morning all!

It's a bit of brisk morning here at the moment, but I expect it should be a bit warmer come lunchtime: very autumn-y though!

Lyndlyloo - I didn't realise you were going to see The Police twice! You remind me of me - in the 1980's I used to go to see a band called Level 42 and I could never just see them once. They always played in Edinburgh and one year I saw them there and Newcastle and then the next year it was Edinburgh and London! I really do not know how Mr S has put up with me for all these years!

DD - hope you had a good time at the birthday parties. Uncles are a great invention!

Hope everyone else is o.k. Have a good Monday.

Morning all,

Just a quick note to Chrissie, Shampoo was delish and thanks for your wishes - I had a lovely day!

Hope everyone fit and well and raring to go!

Hazel - hope you are better, it is nearly holiday time isn't it?

DD - hope you enjoyed your parties over the weekend!

Moose - you must be very proud, and rightly so, of M#2!

Weather here - rainy to begin with but sun out now and an autumn chill in the air!

15 weeks 'til Take That!
