Logistics, logistics, logistics

Popping in quickly from the gym.
Writers Group good last night. More time to read for each person and some really good constructive comments and questions to me.

Collecting the car at 11am. Before that I have to drive 10 miles, leave the BMW at the 'other office' and get a taxi back to the dealers. Then I drive the new car to my office, have a lunch date, then get the bus back to where the BMW is and drive that home.

All so the new car is at work on Friday for me to drive home in, but I can get the BMW cleaned before handing it back. Phew!

Still buzzing about my new office location deal...

Moose, I couldn't cope with the Brain thing the other day, now you are starting to sound like a typical Badger. The boy makes arrangements like this all the time, and I end up standing at the wrong railway station/pub/shop/corner for HOURS waiting to be picked up by someone, usually not him...and as I asked just only a few moments ago on yesterday...does your new car have a bumper sticker?

'I Brake for Muffin!'

Hi Moose, a busy day lies ahead for you, that's for sure! However, you are in top form over your good news, so today should be a breeze!

Sammie - yes, I suspected as much -getting on with life in the meantime! Alton Towers - I would have to confess about the motion sickness, or else it could be really quite messy! Couldn't you just hold his coat?! (BTW thanks for the encouragement re: WW - I will take that on board).

Morning everyone!

I must say Moose has a logistical day ahead of him wouldn't you say?

I had very healthy sea bass and veggies last night with oodles of water to drink and fresh strawberries for afters. Today was another bowl of oats with fresh fruit and actimel and I'm feeling as if my kidneys are starting to forgive me.

My date is now tomorrow evening after a discussion last night which means I have to go and see a client this evening... but as the client is an ex England rugby man I'm not upset one bit.

Today I have been given a job of blogging... yes you heard it here... I'll let you know where to comment some time later. In the meantime, chow for now!

Dear All

May I crave a boon?

If anyone is emailing me at work, and not getting a reply, it is because I appear to not be receiving quite a lot of messages...if you have my home email, give me a shout there...but please don't think I'm ignoring you, I'm not!

The Spam Inspectors and the Blog Police seem to be out in force lately...

Thank you for your time and space

Moose - do you have a Gantt that shows predecessors, so that dependencies can be managed?

Moose - didn't get the chance to say well done to you yesterday on your new job location/good news ... it's well deserved and I hope it all works out for you.

Chrissie - well done on the weight loss!!

Haven't had the chance to blog recently and have to dash off now for a dental appointment - bleurgh!!! I have a fear of the dentist - it's my equivalent of a white knuckle ride! Hopefully it'll just be "OK jollygit, just a clean and polish today, well done"!

Still no news from the job I was interviewed for last week and have been busy applying for other jobs, but the novelty's starting to wear off now! Can't believe I'd ever be glad to get out to work again but I will be very, very happy to get another job. After 29 years of non-stop work I suppose it's got to be a habit! Ah well, any day now ......... oops, I've just spotted a speck of dust that wasn't there two mins ago so best be off to clean ..... again ..... heeeelp!

Have a good day one and all

Tut tut - just seen the number of grey hairs that have appeared since last hairdressers appointment. That's not going to be a good first impression... Must switch parting tomorrow...

Hazel, I thought I had a blockage too - they can be really painful!

Jollygit - good luck with the Dentist!

Oats. You're putting your reputation on the line there, young ladle!

Oats and Whisky, to make you frisky!

Hope the Rugby Man (is that the same as Date Man or Banana Man?) has been doing his stamina training lately...

Likewise Date Man for tomorrow I s'pose...

...and lyndyloo, do they ALL wear their pants outside their trousers?

...and Sammie - I HATE RIDES. I wouldn't even look after the bags. Heck, you wouldn't even get me to slow down for the entrance to the park...what ever you decide to do, all credit to you gal! Me. I just wouldn't go, but then, the beach is only just down the road, so no contest if the weather is nice. In marquee if wet.

...Sammie...For the children - Dave, Dee, Dozey, Beaky, Mick and Titch.

...and don't ask me how relieved I am to have remembered them!

Oh, the Cock, Michael? As in the author? Oh, b*gger it, I'm bound for the Naughty Corner at some point...Michael Moorcock?

...that would be su-bleedin-perb!

Hazel - you got it in one sweetie!!!

As for the kids - already have 2, so only 4 more names to go - I'm thinking...

Chardonnay, Paris, Chanel and Dick.

sammie - we have gnatts (and mosquitoes) despite our best efforts to eradicate them. We've spread sheets covered if Flitt and everything! They are descended from previous quite hardy gnatts I would think....does this help at all?

Apparently there are also some nasty spiney caterpillars that live in Hove Too. (This would be a different neighbourhood to HA by the way. They drop from trees on to unsuspecting passers-by and gardeners.

Anonymous said...

Glad you specified the difference between HA and HT....

HA only has unspiny caterpillars and big bad spiders...

Dave Dee was only one person.

Shiny new car safely in the car park at work. Round 1 of logistical nightmare to the Moose.

The only sticker I have says 'Cool as a Moose', from a shop of the same name in Freeport, Maine...I could have spent a fortune! I was controlled and only got 3 t-shirts, a beer glass and the aforementioned car sticker. Mooselets also have t-shirts.

I've had a terrible morning and thought I'll just pop in and see how you all are ... then I read Sammie's last news story and thought perhaps my day wasn't so bad after all!

Oh and Sammie, re travel sickness - better to 'fess up than chuck up I'd say.

Can't quite get my head round the Moose logistics today, but as long as you can Moose that's fine. Hope it all runs smoothly ...

Must dash now, will try and call back later.

Now, isn't that funny. My face cannot be recognised (definitely worth the fiver there then) but the Phantom Chopper Chopper of Old Londonne Town was yesterday, and I got BP'd BIG BEEEEG STYLEE after posting on CE something similar to...

See if you can get it served
'On a Bed of Rocket, with Shaved Parmesan'

and...

Waiter, can I have another knife please? This one has something on it...

The restaurant is named after the noise made by the sawing motion, if anyone is interested (just thought of that one!)

Perhaps I should have stayed at yesterday too...

...and the coffin. Having been in the biz, so to speak, in my opinion...not real. Very shoddy workmanship. Fancy dress item I'd say.

And face it guys, when did you last see a second-hand (body) coffin?

Ach, go on with you...

Moose said...

Coffin = Student prank

That's what I reckon.

Off to catch the bus for round 2 of logistics...with my eyes still smarting a little. I will frisk the other occupants of the bus for any knives, just in case.

Jo. I wish to take issue with you. I cannot comment on your blog. I am not a google blogger, (I'm a google bloggers mate, and I'm only blogging googles coz the google bloggers late)(not through lack of trying I might add, which is how I ended up on the clearblogs thingamajig) so it will not let me.

Computer says no.

Dear Disgruntled of Hove

Due to technical issues (with the author, not the comupter) I'm afraid anonymous commenting was unavailable recently on my blog.

Thank you for bringing this to my attention, the situation should now be rectified and we welcome your comments.

If you have any further points to make please do not hesitate to be in touch through the usual channels.

Many Thanks

Moose - did you make it back from the bus trip safely??

Is a bus for when you are too pikey for cars?

:o) Jo

Anonymous said...

Jo, Jo, Jo...no no no (they tried to make me go to rehab etc) a 'bus'* is the same as a charabanc.

Worn-darn stiletters are when you are too pikey for cars.

*Bus, from the latin, Omnibus, means lots of them come along at once, but the one you are waiting for is going to be at least another half an hour.

What another L O N G day it's been...a right hump, but I have to say, Michael Moorcock is still making me laugh...and not one other person picked up on it...he he he!

I have a dentist appointment too. This afternoon at 1515. For fillings (x2). My boss is lending me his car due to the unreliability of my own velocipede, and I have to drive about 25 miles because I absolutely REFUSE point blank to change my dentist to a more local dentician. Anyway, he gives me a sticker and a chupa chup for being a good girl.

Peckers and Poles...sounds like a firm of solicitors...heh heh heh...

Morning Mornin

Is everyone at a party I don't know about???

Just got stupidly excited as my friend has got this years Eurovision CD - already. Suffice to say he's sending it to me forthwith.

Am I sad? Only got to wait til May 12th for the big song contest!

As for dentists - I am now entitled to free treatment but can't for the life of me find and NHS dentist...It's a conspiracy I tell you.
