What a sweetie - ahh, he is just like (although, obviously much lovelier than) my neighbour's cat, Socks who I look after when she goes away. I will think of Barney everytime I see Socks - I hope you dont' mind : )

Barney - what a sweetheart! Very, very similar to my wee cat Toots who I had to leave in America in 1980. Toots had a wee black mark at the bottom of his chin, but other than that they could definitely be related! Barney looks so happy and I know, Hazel, that's how you'll remember him.

I think I have upset someone today.
I really think that we have gone over the hill now. Chris has clearly got bored with this and we are now being infiltrated by 'ooh, look at them, they think it's their own personal blog' types.

As for next door, I always thought it was likely to descend into a bun fight. I have to say though that for the largest part of the last few months we have had a very good thing going on. My way of dealing with the infiltrators who are attempting to upset the balance is to ignore them. At the moment they have not picked on individuals in a personal way….when they do I for one will just hit the complain button rather than get into a fight as it will serve no purpose.

Was having a really great day, now having a really rubbish afternoon... Work is mental, my posts to the blog don`t seem to have gone through and no one is replying to my E mails - work and personal. Maybe there is something wrong with my E mail. Maybe no one wants to talk to me today.

Tell me something guys why is it when I listen to Chris I never switched over, I listen to all the music he plays and yet when it's someone else it's just not the same! I'm sure Stuart is a very nice man just not to my taste, sorry! I would have thought he has the same playlist Chris would have had, so why does the music sound different with a different DJ? Am I just stark raving mad.......yeah thats probably more like it! :-)))
Hope everything is ok with Chris, you would have thought they might give the reason for him not being there, does that make me sound really nosey? Don't mean it to be just concerned all is well, especially when he mentioned yesterday he had to go to the hospital with someone!

Anna Friel is ok, but i think i prefer Nigella. We have a similar sized bottom and altho i dont suggestively eat asparagus, i reckon with a dark wig i could pass..... (another blondie moose!) or should that be with a wig, in the dark.
Hazel - go walking. in nottingham. are you crazy!? Only joking, walking is ok actually. Live near sherwood forest and often visit a place called rufford to feed the ducks and spot the squirrels and him in doors is a big out doors fan so usually do something outdoorsy on a weekend. Think it is probably during the week that i dont do enuf. Diet is ok, eat fresh when i cook but do indulge in the odd take out, once a week.... well paul mckenna says i can!
Re 30th birthday, when writing my list i wondered about inviting you lot, and then thought - may be that is too strange. have told him in doors about you all and he doesnt care either way (not in a bad way incidentally!) but how do i explain you all to my friends, family and neighbours.... particularly given that i would be more excited to see/meet you lot than some of my family!

blimey, it really is kicking off next door. And i thought it had been resolved. I wouldnt mind but the people who complain are the ones ive never heard of before. I dont mind people having an opionion, but surely they have know what they are talking about first.
I really do think that CLP started all this with his talks of wizards and personal growth. It was a good thing and sparked some interesting debate, regardless of how it made you feel at the time (for me, to be honest, a little uncomfortable - my spirituality is strong, but not terribly public.), when you open your heart and soul you are bound to forge friendships and its not like we have done that and ignore newcomers. They are all welcome, as i recall it, you yourself moose (and me for that matter) was a 'late comer'.
You get out what you put in.
Oops, sorry, i appear to have inadvertantly stepped on to a soap box. Its ok, i have kicked it to one side for now.

I suppose I objected mostly because the dissenters were not regular contributors. I have obviously riled Giles Lawyer but luckily I have a thick skin(ish). I have made one small reponse but will now choose Littlest Hobo's path of silence in relation to dissenters.
I shall try and be brave enough to post tomorrow. I think the blog community is strong enough to cope!

Hope you don't mind me jumping over here. When I read some of the negative stuff today, I felt that I had sparked it off with my quite personal feelings about a friend - posted this morning against yesterday's blog. maybe I'm just paranoid though! I'm still a newcomer to all this but as I've said before i think it's great and I love the support that's there for anyone that seems to need it. I say power to the bloggers - we need more love and peace in this world.

I thought I'd better post on here than over there.
I agree with Dr T about silence - my silence on the matter was not only because of absence from my "post". The problem with silence, of course, is that you'd miss out on classics from anna and cathmel and susan s and others - well done for making me laugh! Even if it achieved nothing else.
SO to weightier matters...the HR lady is still being manipulative, trying to put words in my mouth about me having said that I want to leave (which legally is very different from being made redundant!). But I think we've agreed just about everything now with one outstanding item, being my bonus for this year which is 11 months through already. But it's only worth £50k...
So looks like a relatively large cheque is coming my way in April...bigger than my minimum I set myself and almost as large as the maximum I was hoping for. There are still potential spanners flying around though, so until the ink of the signatures is dry on the agreement, I'm not celebrating.
Couldn't belive it when I saw 46 comments over this side...well done you guys. I have to look at the e-mails. I wouldn't want to divulge any that have not been "authorized" to give away. So give me a day or two to sort it out.
DWNB - responsible? I can't help but feel partly responsible for the goings on next door. I have been concerned before that I have hi-jacked the thing at times...mostly it has concerned me what CE thought about that (rather than a bunch of no-marks who contribute nothing but their poison).
Oh well, done now.
I still say long live the blog but do suspect that MfR is right when he says Chris has lost interest. And with todays vitriol, I think he might stop.
I hope not, but if he does, life will continue, and so will my blog.
And if any of them dare to comment over here, I will zap them and ban them from commenting.

Cathmel - just to say that in reality, at the moment, before the editing, YOU ARE IN THE BOOK (and shhh but some of the others aren't yet...but will get added in the edit!) Sorry all, but I did write it a month or so ago, and some of the friendships have blossomed more recently!!!

Just popped onto your blog for a curiosity quenching visit and I must say, it is splendid. Delightful picture of Barney, especially as I am a cat lover and have a a little 9 month old chap of my own named Bumble.
Anyway, I am sure that I could spend an inordinate amount of time being smug about being in Vancouver, but that would surely be preposterously cruel...
