OAMC day is here...

Can you believe it?
We've spent a while last year flirting with the idea of a Blogfest.
Sometime this moved into the idea of a OAMC.
Then a date was suggested.
It was fixed.
It seemed so far off. So unreal.
Like it would never really happen.
But the weeks passed and the day got closer.
And now, here we are today...
First ever OAMC day.
I have to keep repeating it because I can't quite believe it.
But it is here.
Today is Thirsty Thursday.
Today is Thursday 18th January 2007.
Today is OAMC day.

Yes!!!!!!!

Count has ended - the day has arrived. I've made my final decision and I'm afraid I won't be able to join you. Dancing class already paid for so don't want to miss it. Please raise a glass to all absent bloggers - will raise a glass to you all after the class.

Loving this blog on the side!

As long as the trains are running I'll be there, my garden has nearly blown away and the plastic table has just flown past the window... Off to Leicester now then I'll be checking the chiltern web site for rail updates!

Yey it's OAMC Day, will start mixing the HW's as soon as I get home, went to rescue the galliano so all should be well.

Does it matter that I have no cocktail cherry for garnish??

so exciting for you all...! i suspect tho, that there wont be an appearance from CLP. Never mind, he would be a distraction anyway!!

Doesn't look good I'm afraid. No train service from Cambridge. I'm watching trees swaying violently in the wind. If I don't make it, have a good time.

I'm not looking like I'm going to make it either...due to lack of trains.

Sorry!!!

guys,

I cannot put into words how much I have been looking forward to tonight (sad as that may sound)....however, I just cannot come - I was going to drive to my brother's and then go on into london with him (he was then going to go to a friend's house), because the trains are rough on the way back to Reading at night and so I wasnt going to use them. At first we were 'yeah, we will have a go - even if we have to turn back' - but his friend called from london and said the embankment was blocked - traffic reports are awful.

I want you to know how hard I would have tried

I havent read any of the posts from next door - but I was relieved to see on here that I am not the only one who cant come. It's hard when you dont know each other isnt it...you dont know how hard I would have tried to come - but you just have to believe me : )

catch you laters - had a baby sitter booked so am going to find a playmate to go down to my local with me for a couple of snifters. : (

loving your work

Cheers!

Popped over from Mr E's blog. Looks like tonight is not working out as you had planned and hoped for - really sorry about that. I think everyone on the blog was looking forward to hearing about it. So long as everyone is safe and well.

I know this is a late comment .... was so upset for you all when the OAMC was cancelled because of Mother Nature getting ratty!

If we make it down London direction this year, would y'all organise one for when we are down?

Thinking we'll have to organise a Scottish one!
