Rutting season...

Hazel - to answer your question, apparently it's mid September through October, so at this time of year you are quite safe....

evening all. Back from teh big smoke, it was lovely, dropped in on Richmond Park and indulged in a few bottles of the red stuff, my friensd are great company. the only negative (which didnt really impact in a negative way!) was the 2 hour journey it took us to drive 10 miles.
London is bonkers!!

so, next door has got a bit heated hasnt it. To be honest tho, as i read it, more people like it than dont and those that dont.....can knackers - can i say that on this blog moose??

well anyway, i said it. I am sure that tomorrow will be a brighter day, lets hope CLP has had a nice weekend and is feeling a little less judgemental come tomorrows post.

Incidentally moose, thought about emailing you, would be lovely to be in touch with you officially but as i have only just started talking about you lot to him in doors, i dont think he would understand me emailing direct and i respect his feelings to much to do it behind his back.
I only say because i want you to know that if he was ok with it, i would defo email you. You seem like a sound guy, and actually one that i think him in doors would like too! Maybe i should direct him here so that he can see for himself.
hopefully you wont all dissapear, never to return, and i miss out cos i havent emailed. I would be ded disappointed.

Hopefully will email in time.

Hi all,
Anna you can say what you like...mainly because I haven't yet worked out how to be my own blog police and moderate comments. I also haven't had any comments I'd want to moderate, nor do I expect to...

Completely understand about e-mailing and 'im indoors. If I'd put a real photo of me up there he'd be less worried!!! Nah, do as you need to. I'm expecting to hang around as a blogger for a while, both here and on CE. I have to agree that a lot more sense has been spoken in the more recent posts over there...Matt from Rudgwick, Sars etc. Me, I'm keeping my mouth shut over there for what are probably obvious reasons. But, only on THAT subject. I'm looking forward to a new blog from CE to respond to tomorrow (if I get time between the HR lady and the Board!).

Sorry mwk and Gaby - just looked too good, and as the book says, "If you give a moose a muffin, he's going to want some jam to go with it. And then he's going to want another one. And another..." etc etc.

So now I have to think about my posting for the morning and draft it up...

Also, Anna, glad you enjoyed London.

I have a glass of red next to me, having sloshed some in the pasta sauce tonight too.

Cheers

Keith,
Welcome to the dark side!!! Glad you sniffed me out.

enjoy the red. I think i have indulged too much this weekend, just got a text from my friend to say that the pink champagne we had put in the freezer for quick cooling.......yesterday afternoon.....has just exploded. The game of pictionary and a glass of rioja (or three) goffed the memory.

will stick to tea and scones (muffins?) in future.

good luck tomorrow! i am going to try and encourage some potential sponsors to sponsor the festival first thing tomorrow so u suppose i should gen up on my pitch.

enjoy the red.

PS that MfR seems a good chap too.
PPS pretty faces (M or F) are not what makes someone good looking, i am sure you dont need me to tell you that!

Anna,
Good luck with the pitches.

Good luck today Moose. Hope your meetings are successful and you get everything you are going for.

I don't think any of you should take to heart the comments of a few embittered individuals on the other side. As a little community you offer kindness and support to each other and to new bloggers and encouragement to join in to the discussions you have. I have not noticed any 'in' jokes, if those complaining of 'in' jokes had read the postings made after each day's blog they would understand what was going on.

Chris has always said he would be against the bloggers/scloggers meeting up so his comments on Thursday morning were not a surprise in that respect.

Everyone chill - the beginning of a brand new week - the sun is shining here but it's b****y freezing with a light dusting of snow! Take care all of you and have fun and whatever you do - carry on blogging - you are a great bunch and it would be a shame for it all to stop.

anna - you made me smile so much with your champagne in freezer tale. That has happened to me so many times - all sorts of colour and variety of grape have found themselves frozen/overflowing in my freezer. The freezer door always has a smile on it's face. : )

good luck with your pitching.

Lovely to hear from you all on here

Moose - good luck this week - keep us posted.

adios mi amigos

Moose - just another thing. You should be very proud of yourself for continuing in your professional approach in all of this. Your handling of it sounds in complete contrast to that of your empoloyers (vis a vis - the way your boss handled the meeting last week, with his 'on the hoof' approach.) Please don't let that make you feel undervalued. They will be like that with everyone they deal with. It is a measure of their lack of professionalism and occupation of a role for which they are un-qualified. It is in no way a reflection on you.

asta loo aygo (Italian isn't my first language : ))

Morning everyone...Thank you Mary, anna, I did...however the best laid plans etc...we ended up going to see some friends 'only for an hour coz I'm tired babe' and eventually got home at 3am...Sat eve a friend came down 'only for a couple of hours' and we played poker. I ended up leaving the pair of them downstairs and re-surfaced at midday yesterday...The boy spent most of the afternoon dozing, and went to bed at 7...hey ho!

Keith - Welcome to 'My Moose Next Door' starring Hannah Gordon and John Aldermoose

Gaby, it would appear that spanish isn't your first language either...and thank you for your lovely comment on CE

Hazel

Thank you - I have emailed him too and will take you up on kind offer.

I hope Moose doesnt start charging a fee for 'introductions'!! I'm sure such a thought wouldn't have crossed his antlers.

We have no snow here - the Thames Valley seems to have an climatic-system of it's own.

I have just baked a cake and lit the fire in order to be part of the welcoming scene for eldest after school. I forgot she was going to a friend's house!! lol. I might have to drag the milkman in!! ("not for the first time", I hear myself cry)

Am sending you lots of love at this worrying time with Barney.

I love robins - they are the most special birds, in my opinion.

Hi y'all

Thanks Gaby! Look forward to hearing from you!

Moose is accepting any kind of cash payment in unmarked bills, or BACS into a swiss bank account.

I think now may be the time to divulge that I know who 'M' is. The very first message from M about Q only being an orderly (do you get it now???) was from ME! Yay! The only other one I've posted as 'M' was one the other day saying that none of the other comments were from me...so whoever the other identity thief is...I dunno!

other news

I'm hoping Barnes is gonna be ok when I get home. I was going to take him to the vet when I got home, but the weather is so atrocious I really don't want to traumatise him with that, the car and the vet! The thing is, when his time comes (sorry to harp on) he'll go quietly with no fuss, because that's what he's like. It's hard to know what to do for the best. All the time he's purring, he's ok. As soon as he stops, I think that'll be it.

Thank you for your love and wishes, I'll give him kisses for them when I get home...

Have to go now...'scuse me
